A study of Shakespeare’s development as a playwright: the early sonnets, narrative poems, and plays up to and including Hamlet (c. 1600) .The required text is David Bevington, The Complete Works of Shakespeare, 7th ed.  (Pearson, 2014). Earlier editions of this book are acceptable. Only the introductions differ among these editions; the texts of the plays are identical. They can be found on line for as little as a few dollars.
