A Ph.D. candidate at the English Department of University of Washington, Zhenzhen taught with the Expository Writing Program there for several years and is currently teaching at the Interdisciplinary Writing Program. She works closely with undergraduate students and dedicates herself into pedagogies that foster an inclusive learning environment that honors the diverse linguistic, cultural, experiential, and technological knowledge of students, making it an asset to their educational accessibility and success in college and beyond. Zhenzhen has taught a variety of composition courses at UW, including multimodal composition courses in which she and her students explore and experiment with the effective and ethical use of various modes of communication, as well as their application to creating texts on different media in academic and other public spaces. Her scholarly interests include critical multiculturalism and pedagogies, multimodal composition, and translingualism.
