Creating a UW NetID

Creating a UW NetID allows you to access to your UW grade and unofficial transcript, as well as complete your end-of-course evaluation and access resources such as the UW library. Once established, your UW NetID is permanent. To create a UW NetID or retrieve a previously established one, visit the Get Your UW NetID page. If you misplaced your UW Student ID number or password, contact Registration Services at 206-543-2310 or c2reg@uw.edu to request that the information be re-sent.

Husky Card

UWHS students (those registered for UW credit) can obtain a Husky Card, which is the official identification card for members of the UW community. Students can obtain a Husky Card by visiting the Husky Card Account & ID Center, located on the ground floor of the Odegaard Undergraduate Library. You'll need to provide your UW Student ID number and photo identification (high school photo IDs are not accepted).

UW Libraries

UWHS students (with a UW NetID) have free access to UW Libraries

The UW Libraries' website has a large collection of research guides to help students conduct research. (A UW netID is required to access many of the databases.)

The UW Library Youtube Channel offers a variety of informational videos to help your students navigate the research process.

Odegaard Writing and Research Center (OWRC)

UWHS students (with a UW Net ID) have access to the OWRC, which provides one-to-one consultations about writing and research. Register for an account (UW NetID required) to make in-person or virtual appointments.

The OWRC also has a series of downloadable handouts on topics such as APA and MLA style, planning your writing, writing an introduction and conclusion, and more.
