Laura Gehrke (née Griffith) studies religion and feminism in Victorian novels. Her doctoral dissertation was on women's religious lives in the novels of George Eliot and Charlotte Mary Yonge. She has also worked on Charlotte Brontë, Charles Dickens, and R.D. Blackmore.
