Welcome to Undergraduate Advising for Comparative Literature, Cinema & Media Studies, Creative Writing, and English
Undergraduate Advising is available to help with academic and career planning, preparation for graduate school, and other questions and concerns of undergraduates, alumni, and prospective undergraduate and graduate students. We also work with prospective and certificated teachers interested in the English Language Arts teaching endorsement for secondary education. We're involved in the UW ArtsLink and UW WordLink, we administer internships and the English Study Abroad Programs, and we run annual workshops for majors on topics such as applying to graduate school, and writing the statement of purpose. We provide a home for Bricolage, the UW's undergraduate literary and art magazine, and AU, the UW's speculative fiction journal. We also work with the Honors Society students in Sigma Tau Delta.
Advising HoursFrom the end of November, 2016 until the end of spring quarter, 2017, the advising office will be short staffed. Though we will still provide drop-in advising hours from 10-4, most days we strongly suggest that you call or e-mail in advance for an appointment. (firstname.lastname@example.org or 206-543-2634).
For the week of April 25th through May 1st, advising will have only one adviser on staff. PLEASE write email@example.com for an appointment, or wait until the week of the 2nd of May and after.
