Dan Lamberton

Biography

Dan Lamberton is the director of Humanities programs at Walla Walla University, where he teaches creative writing and a seminar in the history of the body. For many years he has served as a board member for Humanities Washington, and frequently speaks on the topic of Pacific Northwest poets for the Washington State Speakers Bureau. He has also served on the Washington State Poet Laureate committee, and as a visiting lecturer in literary history for the University of Washington’s History Department. He holds an MFA in English from the University of Washington. Publications include the book On the River Through the Valley of Fire, a meditation on artistic collaboration. He is also interested in the archaeology of sound, a topic he lectured on at the UWRC during the Jubilee Year (circa 2000 AD). When not traveling, he lives in Walla Walla with his wife, the poet Linda Andrews.
