Karina Jones (she/her)

Karina L Jones (she/her) is a writer of all genres from Southern California. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a BA in Creative Writing and a minor in English after only three years as an undergraduate. She then spent a year stumbling through the adult world as a Black, queer woman with an arts degree (aka being a substitute teacher and applying to MFA programs). She is now pursuing an MFA in Prose at the University of Washington, though her love for all major genres of writing, including poetry, playwriting, and screenwriting, remains important to her. She has published prose and poetry in Spark to Flame; A Journal of Collaborative Poetry and Soul Poetry, Prose and Arts Magazine. She had a ten-minute play produced by UC Riverside's play festival Playworks. She believes there is real magic in the world, and that much of it is accessed through literature.
