Nancy Bartley is the author of The Boy Who Shot the Sheriff (University of Washington Press, 2013), which was a finalist for the Washington State Book Awards in history. She also was on the Pulitzer Prize-winning reporting teams for breaking news coverage at The Seattle Times and taught Media Law & Ethics, Narrative Non-fiction, News-Writing and Reporting at American University in Bulgaria where she was a Fulbright Scholar. In fall 2016, she received the Barbara Himmelman Fellowship to begin her doctorate in English.
