Syllabus Description (from Canvas):

Welcome to English 199!

As a Biology 180 linked course, our reading and writing assignments will focus on topics and issues within the natural sciences. In this section, you will have the opportunity to spend the quarter exploring a scientific problem or controversy that you choose, so you will be focusing on a subject that personally interests, inspires, and motivates you. If you have a particular interest that you've been wanting to learn more about for personal reasons, or because it is related to your future career goal, this class is a great opportunity to hone your writing skills while studying something you really care about.

I look forward to getting to know and work with you this quarter! Please feel free to reach out to me at ghasedi@uw.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
