Nalo Hopkinson to Give Charles Johnson Lecture

Nalo Hopkinson will be giving the Charles Johnson Lecture on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 5:00pm in Kane Hall 210.
 
Hopkinson is a Jamaican-born Canadian speculative fiction writer and a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of California, Riverside. Her novels--Brown Girl in the Ring, Midnight Robber, The Salt Roads, The New Moon's Arms, and Sister Mine--and short stories often draw on Caribbean history and language as well as the region's traditions of oral and written storytelling. She is a recipient of the John W. Campbell Award, the World Fantasy Award, the Andre Norton Award, and a two-time recipient of the Sunburst Award for Canadian Literature of the Fantastic.
