Conflict in Classrooms

Please join the English Department’s Visiting Lecture and Diversity Committee for the third installment in the on-going discussion on Post-Election Pedagogy and Classrooms: "Combativeness in the Classroom"

This discussion will begin with panelist’s reflections on illustrative stories of combativeness in the classroom and move on to collective reflection on best-practices for dealing with combativeness in its many forms.  Special attention will be paid to the material constraints of the classroom and sexuality, gender and race as they impact the challenges of conflict management.  Refreshments provided.
