Matthew Poland, a doctoral student in English, has won the Míċeál F. Vaughan Scholarship for 2017-2018. The award will support his traveling to London to study Victorian collecting practices of early English dramatic texts at the British Library and at the National Art Library, housed at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Professor Emeritus Míċeál F. Vaughan, long a member of this department, created this endowment to support travel to primary research libraries and archives for projects involving European texts that date from before 1600.
