Vlaada Chvátil's Codenames

Join EWP and the UW Libraries for a workshop on using board games as pedagogical tools in your writing class.

Where: Red C in Allen Library

When: Friday, April 5 from 2:30-4:00 in

Expository Writing Program CIC AD, Sara Lovett, will give a brief example of using Codenames to teach intertextuality. Then, facilitators will lead roundtable discussions on how to teach with the six board games the library currently has available for instructors to check out (Betrayal at the House on the Hill, Risk, Settlers of Catan, The Resistance, Pandemic, and Dominion). Don’t worry if you’ve never played or even heard of these games; we will talk you through the basic rules.

If you plan to attend, please email slovett@uw.edu to RSVP. Walk-ins are also welcome!
