The UW's Simpson Center for the Humanities has been engaged in a Next Generation Humanities PhD Special Initiative. This report from the Simpson Center reviews the transformative work supported by this three year project, including the department of English's participation, led by former Director of Graduate Studies Juliet Shields. The report highlights Juliet's work and some of our recent PhD graduates.
