The Expository Writing Program and the CIC invites you to join Teacher Talk, Thursday, February 25th from 11:00-12:15 titled: "Digital Literacies" As part of EWP’s Critical Classroom Series, Teacher Talk is a pedagogy conversation series that provides a space for graduate instructors, faculty, and staff to share innovative and equitable practices, discuss praxis, and build a supportive teaching community.
Please join us for a panel discussion and workshop on pedagogical approaches to representing and teaching critical digital literacies:
- How digital literacies are represented in contemporary scholarship
- What critical digital literacies are necessary to become effective and critical consumers of digital media
- How our university pedagogies meet (or fail to meet) these needs
Participants are asked to bring one classroom activity that they have used in the past (or plan to use) to workshop to incorporate a focus on building critical digital literacy skills.
