On April 14th, from 6-8 pm at the Seattle Public Library, join Shakespearean scholars Jeffrey Todd Knight (UW), Allison Meyer (Seattle U) and other experts from the worlds of academia and theater for a lively evening debating Shakespeare’s influence on theater, pop culture and more.
This event is just one in a series of events The Seattle Public Library is hosting or co-sponsoring in celebration of First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare, a nationally touring exhibit which will be hosted at the Central Library from March 21 to April 17, 2016. Considered one of the most important books in the world, a rare copy of Shakespeare's First Folio will be on display at the Central Library for four weeks, along with immersive and interactive displays, live performances, scholar lectures and more.
