Activities and Interests
Current interests include contemporary fiction and poetry; the seventeenth century as a pivotal era in the evolution of modern consciousness; the devolution of modern consciousness, American individualism, and traditional family structures in the postmodern era as they are being affected by communications technologies, consumer ideology, and the globalization of the economy; 'culture war' in two guises: ethical (traditional vs. postmodern values) and epistemological (mythos vs. logos)
