University of Alaska-FairbanksDavid Crouse is the author of the short story collections Copy Cats, winner of the Flannery O'Connor Award for Short Fiction, and The Man Back There, winner of the Mary McCarthy Prize. His stories have previously appeared in The Greensboro Review, TriQuarterly, The Massachusetts Review, Prairie Schooner, Witness, and other fine magazines. He is currently working on several book-length projects: a collection of novellas about women in interior Alaska entitled Trouble Will Save You; a novel about academia, social justice, and vampires entitled Bloodless; and two new collections of short fiction. He also loves writing and reading comic books and creating low-fi electronic music.
